Stephen Eisenhauer’s intriguing brand of stylishly, un-styled dirty folk music has made him an artist that demands to be heard. His impossibly mature debut album Waiting for Veronica pushed boundaries in several compelling musical directions at once. A gifted, natural, and humorous performer, Eisenhauer has had little trouble connecting with audiences, filling his music with a likeable persona developed from his life as a classical and rock musician. His music displays an accomplished sense of dramatics weaving extraordinary intimacy with his breathtaking vocals to leave a lasting impression. Eisenhauer orchestrates string quartets into his solo music, where he mostly plays guitar and piano. These string accompanied works were featured in the CBC’s Routes Montréal. He continues to work and perform as a solo artist and anticipates continuing to do so indefinitely.
